Raising Money for Niagara Health Foundation It’s Our Future Campaign - May 2024

The civics and careers classes at Saint Paul Catholic High School is doing its part to support the new hospital being built in Niagara Falls.
Teacher Sheila DeLuca and her Grade 10 classes hosted a month-long fundraiser for Niagara Health Foundation in May 2024. DeLuca, who’s also a board member of the foundation, said her two classes of 55 students were learning about the role of different governments when it came to important matters in the community, such as health care. While preparing for the fundraiser, students were able to learn about the need of a new hospital for South Niagara at Montrose and Biggar roads. The month-long fundraiser, raised $2,020 from the school community with Mayors Jim Diodati and Matt Siscoe, matching an additional $2,000, for a total of $4,020 for the It’s Our Future Campaign.
